This tour visits Uganda’s famous National Parks. Your trip starts with Murchison Falls Conservation Area, the largest in the country, with chimps, birds, crocodile, and game. Visit the dramatic Falls from which the park derives its name.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival – Entebbe/Kampala
You will be met by our professional driver guide at Entebbe International Airport and checked-in your designated accommodation for your overnight stay if you are arriving by air. As you are transferred, our guide will give you an insight into the wonderful adventures ahead.
Day 2: Murchison Falls National Park
Your safari in Uganda will begin with driving northwards to Murchison Falls National Park. With a hot lunch en-route, prepare your selves for the breathtaking scenery and a short nature walk to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Masindi town. The guided nature walk in the sanctuary brings you up close with the endangered rhinos. In the evening arrive at the national park and transfer directly for dinner and overnight at your accommodation preference.
Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park
After an early morning wake up call and breakfast, you will set off for a sunrise game-drive in the park. At this time of day you have the chance of seeing the big cats hunting, as well as elephants, giraffes, buffalos, plus more, as the checklist of mammals sighted reaches 76. You will continue browsing the circuits on the way through the delta point for a variety of birds and mammals. In the afternoon you will enjoy a relaxed lunch and then go for a boat-cruise on the Nile River. This 3-hour boat ride, on the river, to the base of the falls takes you to where you will see hippos. This spot is a place where you have never seen more hippos yawning, or grooming in their natural family pods than anywhere else in Africa! Nile crocodiles, elephants and a wide variety of bird species can be seen along the banks. Later in the evening you will return for dinner and your overnight stay at your designated accommodation.
Day 4: Kibale National Park
Wake-up early in the morning, have breakfast and depart at 7am heading for Kibale National Park. You will have lunch en-route and reach late evening for dinner and an overnight at your designated accommodation.
Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking – Kibale National Park
After breakfast, you will head to Kibale Forest National Park to see the chimpanzees. The activity begins at 8.00am with a briefing on the rules for trekking the chimpanzees. Chimpanzee tracking takes half a day and along the way you will see other primates such as the grey-cheeked mangabeys, phoestes, red-colobuses, the blue tailed and red-tailed monkeys swinging on the branches of this thick forest. Your guide will give you informative briefings on the lifestyles of these primates and on the plants as well as the insects and butterflies in this forest. You will return in the evening in time for dinner and an overnight at your designated accommodation.
Day 6: Departure – Kampala/Entebbe
After breakfast, you will head back to Kampala or Entebbe for your next destination. Along the way, there will be a stopover at …….for lunch and to buy some souvenirs to take back home with you.
