This is is the ethnic small group of people originally from the around the nyika Plateau or the Northern Malawi. Currently, they have spread to the eastern of Zambia, but they are mostly found between the Nkhamanga Kingdom of Rumphi on the south, Tonga on the east and Ngonde on the North. The tumbuka are basically a quiet people who depend on subsistence farming and hunting.
Originally they believed mostly in magic and witchcraft, but with the coming of civilization that has changed. Today many are Christians.
